I’m Umberto Elias, aka appleboy. The nickname comes from a close friend who never missed a chance to mock my hardware choices. In hindsight, he might have had a point.
My curiosity for systems started in the golden age of Minecraft. While others built castles, I was obsessed with hidden mechanics and server logic.
I later formalized that curiosity with a Computer Science degree from Federico II University, where my early interest in hacking evolved into a more mature focus on offensive security. This blog is my personal log, where I share my journey and the technical rabbit holes I happen to fall into.
Outside of root mode, you’ll find me at the gym. I travel whenever I can, but my true reset button is the sea: staring at a blue horizon before diving into the next exploit.
